MAN Announces Exclusive Offers for New Delegates at the 2023 Manitoba Showcase!

Early Bird Discount and Travel Subsidy Applications ends on September 28, 2023

Winnipeg, Manitoba, September 11, 2023 – The stage is set, and the spotlight is about to shine on the 2023 Manitoba Showcase. The Manitoba Arts Network is thrilled to unveil an unforgettable artist showcase, slated to grace Steinbach with its presence from October 26-29, 2023. The showcase promises a captivating blend of visual and performing arts, and it’s an event you won’t want to miss.

First-time delegates from libraries, museums, and festivals are in for a special treat. The Manitoba Arts Network extends a warm welcome to these sectors, recognizing the unique perspectives they bring to the table. To sweeten the deal, we’re offering an enticing $100 early bird discount on the regular registration fee of $300 for non-members. This is a golden opportunity for these first-timers to immerse themselves in a world of artistic wonder.

“Our mission at Manitoba Showcase has always been to open doors to new experiences, new connections, and new perspectives that will benefit the rural communities of Manitoba,” explains Rose-Anne Harder, Executive Director of Manitoba Arts Network. “By targeting new delegates, we’re not just expanding our conference, we’re expanding the horizons of culture and creativity. Each new face brings fresh insights, and together, we illuminate the path to a richer, more vibrant arts community.”

As an additional incentive for delegates coming from beyond Manitoba’s borders, we’re thrilled to introduce our Travel Subsidy program. Specifically targeting delegates from North Western Ontario and the neighbouring states, including North and South Dakota and Minnesota, this program offers grants ranging from $300 to $500. We recognize that the costs associated with travel can sometimes pose a challenge, and our commitment is to pave the way for an accessible journey to join us in celebrating the arts.

“As Presenters, Manitoba Showcase is the most important event for us each year. We use the Manitoba Arts Network to select several of the shows we present in our season,” expresses a representative of the Eastern Manitoba Concert Association (EMCA) who attended last year’s event. “They help us afford better acts to attract bigger audiences, and they also teach us new event management skills through Workshops.”

To take advantage of these exclusive offers and secure your spot at the 2023 Manitoba Showcase, we invite you to Register now. Don’t delay, as the deadline for both the early bird registration and the application for the travel subsidy is September 28, 2023.

For the residents of Steinbach and its neighbouring communities, we’re thrilled to announce an exhilarating cultural experience for you to enjoy! Manitoba Showcase is set to dazzle your senses with three extraordinary showcases, starting with a mesmerizing evening on Friday, October 27th, followed by a delightful matinee and an enchanting evening on Saturday, October 28th.

Showcase performances will be hosted at the Steinbach Regional Secondary School, Professional Development workshops will be held at the Steinbach Mennonite Heritage Centre and Networking and art Exhibits will be held at the Steinbach Arts Council.
