Youth Engagement Project

 

We are thrilled to announce our first line-up of youth-oriented performances for this Project! These performances are free and open to all youth – we encourage you to check them out.

The Youth Engagement Project is a pilot project running from 2016 to 2019, with generous funding from the Department of Canadian Heritage. Manitoba Arts Network will be working with the 5 rural and northern member organizations, guiding the presenters will incorporate youth volunteers into the curatorial vision for each of their performing arts seasons. In each of the 3 years of this project, the youth will partake in the booking process making an additional performance for the presenter within their series targeted at a youth audience.

Sue Hemphill is our Youth Engagement Project. Sue has provided consultation and facilitation for multiple workshops and projects for both the Manitoba Arts Network and Arts and Cultural Industries (ACI). Her background and training in the arts and cultural sector makes her a uniquely creative and engaging educator and organizational developer. http://www.healthyhive.ca/
