MRNJAS Launch Party
Thursday October 22: 5:00 – 7:00 pmCome join us for the MRNJAS Launch Party! We are celebrating 56 artists from Central, Eastman, Interlake, Northern, Parkland, and Westman areas of the province. Come for a celebratory twist on a digital happy hour that includes a brief presentation by artist & director Shawna Dempsey, a few artists and the announcement of voters choice awards. We will be live and hope you can join us for the party. Make a cocktail (or mocktail) and wear something shiny to make give this a full party vibe.join the launch party here
About the keynote: Shawna Dempsey is a performance and video artist, who has exhibited nationally and internationally since 1986. She has curated for the Winnipeg Art Gallery and various artist-run spaces across Canada. She is now the co-Executive Director of Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art in Winnipeg.

Indigenous Emerging Artists Mentorship Intensive (IEAMI) Showcase

ARTISTS: Becky Lou, I Am Riel, Sherri Shorting, Martin Desjarlais
After their 3-day intensive with mentors Rhonda Head, MJ Dandeneau, and Tracy Bone, emerging Indigenous artists Becky Lou, I Am Riel (Daniel Emerson), Sherri Shorting, and Martin Desjarlais are ready to provide their digital Showcase to presenters! On Friday, October 23rd from 5-7pm join MAN for the IEAMI Digital Showcase as we present performance reels of each of the 4 artists.
Participants will also be able to join in on a zoom discussion with the artists, facilitated by Rhonda Head. The Showcase will end with a brief Q&A period where participants are encouraged to ask the artists any other questions. Don’t miss this opportunity to view new Indigenous talent for your programming

Register here for Manitoba Art’s Network’s 2020 AGM. The meeting this year will be conducted via Zoom at 1pm on Saturday, October 24. Once you register, an email will be sent to you within the next few days with the Zoom Meeting Link.
All Manitoba Arts Network members are invited to participate, however only Full organizational members have voting privileges. If you don’t have video capability you can just phone in to participate and or watch online.
Meeting length will be no longer than 30-45 minutes.

As some venues across Canada have begun exploring COVID-adapted live performances and events, many now have the task of providing online ticketing services to their patrons. Join Ann Barker and Marie de Lamballerie from Ticketpro to gain an understanding on how to effectively use online ticketing services like Ticketpro, tips and tricks to the platform, as well as how MAN can help cover online ticketing costs for your first year of use. Ann and Marie will also discuss the new platforms that provide Contact Tracing for your audiences, and how you can use these to ensure the increased safety of your events during the pandemic.
